CAPELLA BANGKOK IS NAMED NO.1 IN THE WORLD’S 50 BEST HOTELS 2024

The prestigious list and several special awards were announced at a live ceremony in London, featuring hotels from 37 destinations across six continents worldwide

  • Capella Bangkok Named The World’s Best Hotel 2024

    Capella Bangkok in Thailand has been crowned The World’s Best Hotel 2024, topping a list that highlights 19 hotels in Asia, followed by Europe (13), North America (9), Africa (4), Oceania (4), and South America (1). The list includes 15 new entries from territories like Oman, French Polynesia, and Fiji.

    Special Awards:

    • Passalacqua (No.2) in Lake Como: Carlo Alberto Best Boutique Hotel Award
    • Soneva Fushi (No.8) in the Maldives: Lost Explorer Best Beach Hotel Award
    • Maroma (No.18) in Mexico: Flor de Caña Eco Hotel Award
    • Bulgari Tokyo (No.22): Nikka Best New Hotel Award
    • Sonia Cheng, CEO of Rosewood Hotel Group: SevenRooms Icon Award
    • Aman: Ferrari Trento Most Admired Hotel Group Award
    • Atlantis The Royal (No.9) in Dubai: Highest Climber Award
    • Raffles London at The OWO (No.13): Lavazza Highest New Entry Award

    The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2024 list was announced at a ceremony in London, celebrating top-tier hotels worldwide. Capella Bangkok, located on the Chao Phraya River, climbed from No.11 in 2023 to No.1 and also secured the title of Best Hotel in Asia 2024. The hotel, known for its lush gardens, dramatic architecture, and personalized service, exemplifies luxury with a boutique feel.

    Other Highlights:

    • Passalacqua in Lake Como took the No.2 spot, also winning the Best Boutique Hotel Award.
    • Rosewood Hong Kong ranked No.3, solidifying Asia’s dominance in the top rankings.
    • Europe contributed 13 hotels to the list, with top entries from France, the UK, and Italy.
    • North America had nine hotels featured, including Maroma and Chablé Yucatán in Mexico.
